[ After their text conversation regarding notes, Shane makes quick work in gathering her things and heading to the library. There's a faint scent of coffee to her notebook and the edges of some pages are stained, but the ones that took the brunt of the spill - her biology notes - have been thrown away.
She's wearing long sleeves despite the clear and warm day outside, her hair twisted into a bun that's held in place with a pencil when she steps into the building. Scanning the main area Shane catches sight of Ollie sitting at one of the tables. Careful not to bump into anyone, she makes her way over to him, flashing him a smile when she sets her stuff down across from him. ]
Thank you so much for this, [ she says as she sits down. ] You're a life saver.
Don't worry about it. [Shane is fine. Shane is safe. A bird, like he is a horse; prey, not hunters. He can sit with her without fidgeting or feeling like he needs to run away. He's okay.
So he passes her the notes he's taken, a couple pages of scribbled info and sometimes nonsense, biting the inside of his lip for a second.]
Let me know if you can't read something. My handwriting's terrible.
[He's about to get back to his work for now when, suddenly, a question starts nagging at his brain and he has to stop, look back at Shane, an eyebrow raised.]
Okay, [ she says with a nod to his offer, her eyes already scanning over his writing. It's fairly legible, for the most part. She sets it aside and is just flipping open her notebook when when he speaks again and Shane lifts her gaze to meet his. ]
It's... [ Pausing for a moment, Shane chews her lower lip. Then she smiles. ] It's weird, sometimes, essentially seeing my own face reflected back at me. [ But she sees all of the minor, slight differences in Scarlett's face that no one else even knows exist. ] And it's annoying when people confuse us for one another all the time, and sometimes I want to throttle her, but mostly? It's wonderful. No matter what happens, no matter what I do, I've always got her there beside me. [ The twin bond isn't really something she can explain, so she doesn't bother trying. ]
